Longing for Warmer Climates

I can't sleep tonight because I'm losing the battle with my sinuses and am pretty sure I'm developing a lovely sinus infection :( I'm sure my "new mom" sleep deprivation isn't helping. And I just heard on the news this morning that we are expecting another snow/ice storm on Wednesday. Now, I'm usually the first to welcome winter because I think snowy winters are pretty, but even I'm getting a little tired of these storms. It makes me long for some warmer climates...

Farewell... For Now...

Oh how I have neglected my poor bloggy :( Let's just say I'm pretty happy that February is over! I'm afraid I will probably be away for a couple more weeks. Tomorrow we leave for Key West for 9 fun-filled, sunny, and WARM days. My brother is getting married down there next Saturday. We've decided to drive and enjoy ourselves a little road trip. We were never able to take a real honeymoon after we got married so we're taking this opportunity to have one. I'm sure I'll have lots of pictures to share!

On our way back up, I have to stop in Charlotte, NC for a couple days for a quick business trip. So, we will be gone for 2 weeks. I already miss my putties :(

That's about how the past week and a half have felt for me :( I've been trying to stay on the diet but quite a few days have been splurges. I haven't gotten back on my Wii routine either. We won't talk about the financial situation. There have been some leadership changes at the executive level at work so stuff is up in the air with our division. On top of everything I've been feeling like crap. Not sure if it is a bug or my allergies or what is going on.

I keep trying to unpack the last few boxes that we have but can't seem to stay focused long enough to get one box unpacked. My camera battery charger is still pack and, surprise, the battery died on Sunday so I can't take any pics of my putties :(

Anyway... 32 days until we get to go here:





That's right! We're going to Key West the first week of March for my brother's wedding! This is going to be my first *real* vacation since 2006. Since we never really took a honeymoon, we're going down a few days before everyone else to have ourselves a little vacation.

I think I really need this vacation!
