Some Things Are Going Down...

...here in NJ...

For one... I didn't post anything the entire month of August!!!

And second...  I'm having a hard time keeping things straight over the past month as quite a few things have been happening... some good and some not so much.

In celebration of the end of summer - can you believe it??? - I'm working on a week (or so) of posts of what we've done over the past few months.  We've been able to enjoy a few things like going to the zoo, camping, and some family outings.

In the meantime, I have a couple photos to share of the Marsh-man...

A couple weeks ago we were finally able to get him baptized.  Since we really aren't involved in a church currently, we were able to have the ceremony in the church that I grew up in back in Michigan.  I have a couple of posts dedicated to our trip to Michigan.  Let's just say the Army is not high up on my list of favorite people right now!

And I have no idea why Marshall was scowling.  Maybe because we made him wear that outfit :)

And one of my favorite shots from our camping trip up in the Adirondacks a few weeks ago...

Hope everyone has a safe Labor Day weekend!

Intervention!

Or somewhat one :)  We have finally gotten our act together to get our little demon... I mean The Marsh baptized next month.  People were starting to get concerned he might sprout horns and a tail soon.  I hope the holy water doesn't evaporate when they pour it on his forehead!

BTW, when you complete projects on Shutterfly, and post them to your blog, you can get $10 off your next order.  Pretty neat deal I think, considering all the projects I do through them!

Trying...

So I've been trying for the past 3 days to get a post going with our pictures from 4th of July...  FAIL!  Freddy left on Wednesday for ANCO training so it has just been me, the baby, and 4 cats.  Oh... and did I mention we're buying a house and I'm on the phone with someone about this almost everyday...  oh right... and my 60 - 70 hour a week job!  Needless to say I'm a little tired.  The last 2 nights I've fallen asleep with the baby and slept right through until my alarm rudely rings at 5:30am.

The Marsh every once in awhile looks for Daddy so we know he knows somethings up, but he doesn't quite understand just what.  On the day Freddy left, Marshall had a meltdown when we dropped him off at daycare, which he almost never does.  This morning he kept looking at our second bathroom that Freddy uses and kept pointing and saying "Daddy?".  All I can do at this point is try and keep him on the same schedule as always.

Since I haven't posted any pictures in a while, here's one I took a couple months ago when we were getting rain storms almost every day.

Mystery Solved

So we've been getting pretty good at translating "Marshall-speak" over the past few weeks...

Some are very clear:
1. Mommy
2. Daddy
3. No (very popular with The Marsh)
4. Yes
5. Ana (Ms. Ana is in charge of the infant room at day care)
6. Puppy
7. Apple
8. What's that

Some not so much:
1. tooky - cookie
2. tiky - kitty
3. ayoo - where are you
4. ta too - thank you
5. bobby - bottle
6. be be - beep beep (car)

Well, over the last few weeks a very popular word has been "ehto". Or what sounds like "ehto". He says it numerous times during the day. Initially we thought he might be saying "y tu", which is Spanish for "and you". The girls at day care will talk to him in Spanish so we thought it probably wasn't too far fetched.

Anyway, so I'm picking him up from day care yesterday when he starts to say "ehto" again. Ms. Becky responds "he's not even here." So I have to ask. What the heck is my kid saying??? Turns out he's saying "Angel". There is another little boy at day care named Angel, who, by the way, is a very sweet little boy.

Apparently, whenever something happens, Marshall will say "ehto" as if he is telling them that Angel did it. Except in most cases, Angel is nowhere near the scene of the crime.

Yep... I have that kid...
